Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz took part in the VII National Scientific and Practical Conference “Transformation of Business and Public Institutions in the Context of the Digital Economy”, organized online by our partner university — St. Petersburg University of Management Technologies and Economics.
During the plenary session, a presentation was made on the grant project funded by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan (AR19676691), titled “Innovative Model for Improving Student Research Work in Universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan.”
The report was delivered by T.A. Khanov, Director of the Research Institute of Economics and Law, and A.V. Bashirov, Project Leader. They presented current approaches to enhancing student research activities within the framework of the project.
On April 9, 2025, as part of the "Science Week 2025", a master class was held by the chief expert of the Center for the Development of Scientific Research and Monitoring, E.A. Puntus, on the topic "Selection of journals indexed in the Scopus and Web of science databases for publication." During the master class, Puntus E.A. spoke in detail about the selection criteria for scientific journals indexed in the international databases Scopus and Web of Science. The master class was accompanied by practical recommendations and a demonstration of online resources, which allowed participants to gain applied skills in the field of scientific publication activity.
Workshop of the professional coach of the speech image school Azhar S. on the topic "Secrets of confident speech". At the workshop, Azhar S., a professional coach at the speech image school, shared key techniques for forming confident and expressive speech. The participants mastered the methods of voice control, proper breathing, intonation and speech improvisation. The workshop was held in a lively and friendly atmosphere conducive to active participation and skill building.
Master class by the invited speaker, head of the business department of the IT–hub "Terricon Valley" Salekhova D.S. on the topic: "Startup launch in Kazakhstan: challenges and opportunities". D.S. Salikhova, as part of the master class, highlighted the key stages of creating a startup in the conditions of the Kazakh market. Special emphasis was placed on the possibilities of cooperation with the IT-hub "Terricon Valley". The master class aroused great interest and became a platform for the exchange of ideas and networking
On April 8, 2025, as a part of "Science Week – 2025" at the Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz, a round table was held on the topic: "Cybercrime and law: modern challenges of criminal law and criminal procedure regulation", organized by the Scientific Research Institute of Economic and Legal Research in the context of the implementation of the initiative topic "Criminal law and criminal procedure aspects of countering criminal offenses committed through the use of the Internet". During the event, scientific reports were presented by leading experts in the field of law, cybersecurity and law enforcement, as well as practitioners of law enforcement agencies.
As a result of the discussion, priority areas for further scientific research were identified.
Consultative seminar of the head of the laboratory of "Innovative and scientific-educational technologies", Candidate of Technical Sciences Bashirov A.V. on the topic: "Improving the research work of students at the university." During the event, modern approaches to the organization of scientific activities of students were considered, recommendations were given on the involvement of young people in research work, and effective practices for supporting scientific projects in the educational environment were presented.
Scientific seminar of the Director of the ELS Research Institute of the Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz, Doctor of Law, Professor T.A. Khanov on the topic "The procedure for obtaining an author's certificate and registration of documents in the Kazpatent system". The seminar covered the key stages of the intellectual property registration procedure, including the preparation of necessary documentation, filing an application, examination and obtaining an author's certificate. Special attention was paid to practical aspects of working with the Kazpatent electronic platform, legal protection of scientific results and current changes in national legislation on intellectual property.

THE FIRST DAY OF "SCIENCE WEEK 2025": April 7, 2025
At the opening ceremony of the "Science Week 2025", welcoming remarks were made by: Vice-rector for Research and Innovation Sikhimbayev M.R., Director of the ELS Research Institute Khanov T.A. and Chief Researcher of the ELS Research Institute Lakbayev K.S. The importance of developing scientific potential, stimulating youth research activity and introducing innovations into the academic and applied fields was noted. The opening of the week marked the beginning of a series of events (scientific seminars, workshops, round tables, advisory seminars, etc.) aimed at popularizing science and supporting young scientists.
On April 2, the Royal Institute of Logistics and Transport, in partnership with the Councilry University Kazakhstan, organized the Forum of young logisticians. Representatives of leading transport and logistics companies in Kazakhstan shared their experience. The speakers talked about the development of e-commerce, the role of the multimodal Middle Corridor in the development of trade and economies of the region, the integration of artificial intelligence into supply chain management.
Students of the Marketing and Logistics Department, Elizaveta Panchenko, Zhandos Zhakeyev and Nikita Dyga, worthily represented the Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz.

Today, the winners of the regional Olympiad in biology "Expert in Biology - 2025" were determined, organized by the Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz together with the regional scientific and practical center for additional education for children "Saryarka daryny". About 200 students from various schools of the Karaganda region took part in the Olympiad.

On March 14, 2025, the Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz hosted the conference "ProfStart: prospects and opportunities" with the participation of representatives of organizations of the Karaganda region.
The conference is organized by the Center for Professional Guidance and Public Relations of the University in cooperation with the State Institution "Department of Education of the Karaganda region" and the Samga academy educational center.
The conference discussed current changes in career guidance, effective strategies for interacting with potential applicants, new technologies and career guidance tools, and considered theoretical and practical issues of organizing joint career guidance.
The Vice-rector for Academic Affairs, Professor G.E. Nakipova, delivered a welcoming speech.
Babur Adilkhan, an invited coach, expert in the field of self-development and Gallup test, gave practical recommendations and analysis-consultations of the tests conducted to determine the professional orientation of applicants. During the conference, the university established contacts with invited experts, the directors of the main schools, and the methodologists of the education departments. Agreements have been reached on further cooperation and exchange of experience.

On March 13, 2025, a significant event took place at the Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz — the opening of a named auditorium in memory of an outstanding scientist and teacher, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor Abilov Kosman Zhakupaevich.
This is not just an audience, but a symbol of respect and recognition of his great contribution to science and education. Many students and colleagues remember him as a wise mentor who left a bright mark on the development of the university.
The event was attended by the rector of the University Aimagambetov Yerkara Balkaraevich, the professor's family, colleagues and students who were able to recall the most vivid moments from the life and work of Kosman Zhakupaevich.We have opened not just a room, but a place that will inspire future generations to achieve scientific achievements. There is a personalized stand and a Memory Corner in the auditorium, where photographs and publications about the professor's life and works are presented.
Professor Abilov Kosman Zhakupaevich will forever remain in our hearts as an outstanding scientist and teacher. His work and scientific legacy will inspire students and teachers for many years to come.
On March 13, 2025, our university hosted an international scientific and practical conference on "Social justice - the basis of sustainable development, stability and prosperity of society", dedicated to the significant date – the 30th anniversary of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan.
The conference was attended by leading scientists and public figures from Kazakhstan, Russia, Bulgaria and other countries. The Assembly of People of Kazakhstan, which celebrates its 30th anniversary this year, continues to be an important institution contributing to the creation of a unique model of interethnic and interfaith harmony in Kazakhstan.
The conference participants developed a number of recommendations aimed at further strengthening national unity, harmonizing interethnic relations and developing mechanisms of social justice, which are key to the sustainable prosperity of our society.

Advanced training courses for teachers and staff of the Karaganda Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan named after Barimbek Beisenov have been successfully completed at the Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz. The program included two areas: "Management in higher education" and "Teaching skills in higher education", aimed at developing the professional competencies of teachers.
These courses are organized by the University's Career and Professional Development Center as part of the development of non-formal education, which allows specialists to improve their knowledge and skills and meet modern educational requirements.
